Cool New Year’s Resolutions

2009 December 31

It’s that time of year when people set lofty personal goals for themselves that they will most likely abandon before Valentine’s day. So why not set some goals for your favorite car, truck or Jeep instead?

We’re here to help, so we penned some thought starters for you:

  • Shed some pounds. From your car that is. Flex-a-lite® offers both molded and flat lightweight polymer windows. Click here for more information.
  • Shed some more pounds. There are quite a few options for lighter-weight belt-driven fans which are lighter than factory fans and free up horsepower.
  • Ever heard of a fuel cooler? This might be the hot ticket to help you save fuel or capture a little more horsepower this year. Click here for more details.
  • Get wired. You can add a variable speed control to just about any Flex-a-lite electric fan. This senses engine coolant temperature in the radiator and sets the fans speed from 60-100 percent of full speed.
  • Add something shiny – may we suggest a Flex-a-fit radiator with nearly unlimited mounting possibilities: both mounting to the car and mounting fans, expansion tanks and whatever else you want to the radiator. Check it out by clicking here.
  • Keep your cool. This isn’t the time of the year when overheating is usually a problem. But if your favorite four-wheeled friend has trouble in the warmer months, do something about it now with a high-performance Flex-a-lite fan. You can also become a fan of Flex-a-lite on Facebook by clicking here. Get it? It’s a play on words…we crack ourselves up!
  • Save your aluminum radiator, cylinder heads and intake manifold. Aluminum engine components corrode due to electrolysis. Add a zinc anode kit that replaces the ¼-inch NPT drain petcock in your radiator. The zinc takes the corrosion instead of your valuable aluminum components. Click here for more information.

Best wishes for you and your vehicle: We hope 2010 is cool for you!
